About My Projects

This page is dedicated to both the small and large projects that I have done throughout my life to further develop my skills. The projects are ordered from most recent to oldest so you can see how my skills have developed! Many of these projects include the use of CAD and 3D printing. Most CAD files are available to download!

Congaree National Park Accessability Ramp Construction
(Feb. 2026)

Project Goal: 

The goal of this project was to build an accessability ramp to allow those with limited physically mobility to easily access a lower trail on Congaree National Park.

Project Overview:

     Other engineering students and I participated in the construction of an accessability ramp at Congaree National Park. This was a much needed addition to the park because a single unsteady wooden block was used as a step to exit the walkway to enter the lower trail. This step was quite a drop so people with limited joint mobility or stability had a hard time entering and exiting this trail. To fix this my colluges and I added this ramp which is secured using 6 4' by 4' pillars and a multitude of joint bracings to accomodate impending floods from the nearby river and prevent the structure from being swept away.

Pain Stim Fidget Toy (Fusion360, Aug. 2025)

Project Goal: 

The goal of this project is to create a toy for my sister to safely stim with.

Project Overview:

     One of the many great uses of a 3D printer is to print fidget toys. This becomes especially useful when you have an Autistic sister that constantly stims. In case you are unfamiliar with the topic, stimming is the repeated act of movements, verbal noises, and more. Some common examples include cracking knuckles, bouncing a leg, spinning, flapping arms, or making clicking sounds. Many neurodivergent people stim as a way to help regulate their nervous system. In some cases these stims can become dangerous.

     My sister would often hit her head when she was overwhelmed, or overstimulated. This is often referred to as pain stimming. Pain stimming is not a bad thing as it can actually be very helpful to ground an overstimulated person. Unfortunately, this specific action can be dangerous so a opted to design a fidget toy to allow her to pain stim safely. 

     Many fidget toys on the market incorporate the use of something with spikes. However, a person with Autism often need movement as well. So I designed a fidget toy that would perfectly fit in a hand with a seamless spinning top to fidget with while getting that poking feeling my sister needs.

Key Features/Notes:

  • Printed as separate parts to reduce the risk of failure from floating regions.

  • Extruded a 3.5” shaft with a radius of 1” to fit comfortably in the hand

  • Patterned a .1” by .1” square around the shaft and utilized the loft feature to connect the square to a point .1" away to create a strong point.

  • Revolved, cut, and offset a shaft consisting of right angles to interlock the pieces.

  • Shaft offset of .02" to provide a loose, yet stable, spin. 

Marley's Bowl (Fusion360, Jun. 2025)

Project Goal: 

Replicate Marley's broken bowl.

Project Overview:

     My family owns an Indian Ringneck Parrot named Marley. He sometimes has temper tantrums and throws his bowl down while we get his treats. This caused his bowl to crack, so I decided to design an create a new one to 3D print for him.

     I planned to print the bowl and coat it in a spray on lacquer to strengthen the bowl and secure any stringing that my arise as parrots are very curious love to explore things by biting. This excess filament hanging off could be dangerous as Marley could digest it.

     Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find a food safe lacquer so the bowl hasn't been printed yet. However, the initial drawing and CAD model has been created thanks to measurements from my trusty dial caliber! View the images to the right or click below to view the interactive CAD model.

Key Features/Notes:

  • Main body created using a singular revolve because it is quicker than extruding multiple portions and also provides a more coherent structure.

Engineering Notebook (Sept. 2024- Feb. 2025)

     In my resume I highlight my technical writing and documentation skills. This is a useful trait but its mention falls on deaf ears without any proof so I have included part of the engineering notebook that I collaboratively wrote with my teammates. I have only included part of the notebook apposed to the entire version since I left the team in February in pursuit of a more professional work environment. 

     The majority of "build day" pages have been written by me along with the initial "Game Challenges" and "Decision Matrix/Select plan" pages. Additionally, it is worth noting that since I was part of the freshman team I helped build parts of that robot. Lastly, you may find the word "REDACTED" covering a page or certain sections. This is to preserve the privacy of my former teammates while leaving the important information and structure of the notebook intact. 

3D Printed Charms (OnShape, Aug. 2022 - Dec. 2022)

Project Goal:

Create charms to hand out at robotics competitions.

Project Overview:

     In VEX Robotics Competitions it is a tradition to hand out charms or stickers containing your team number or logo at competitions. Since my school lacked the funding for unessential expenses I decided to use my knowledge of CAD and my 3D printer to create charms for my team. 

     My team's name was EquinoX. Since the equinox is the point where both day and night are relatively equal I decided to incorporate the sun and the moon into the design.

Key Features/Notes:

  • Created mainly using extrudes and spline drawings.

  • Initial designs were too weak, not personalized, or too detailed causing stringing.

  • Some text was too small causing it too fall off, ultimately it was removed.

3D Printed Mini Game Elements (OnShape, Oct. 2022)

Project Goal:

Replicate game elements to hand out at robotics competitions.

Project Overview:

     In the VEX community it's a tradition to hand out little charms at competitions. In addition to team charms I designed mini figures of the competition game pieces to 3D print. 

     In the 2023-2024 season the game was called Spin Up. Spin Up's main game pieces were goals and discs. The game was essentially disc golf, but with robots so the pieces look very similar. 

     Since my 3D printer only prints in one color I designed the pieces separately to maintain accuracy and save me the trouble of painting the figures. Additionally, the overhang was far too great to print without supports. The supports would have left marks and possibly caused the print to break during removal.

  • Created mainly using extrudes and spline drawings.

  • Initial designs were too weak, not personalized, or too detailed causing stringing.

  • Some text was too small causing it too fall off, ultimately it was removed.

Dinosaurs (OnShape, Nov. 2022)

     After learning how to use CAD programs such as OnShape I soon acquired a 3D printer to print my creations. To practice my skills I asked friends what they would like for me to create for them and one of my friends was particularly found of cute dinosaurs. So that's what I created!

     These cute little figures allowed me to practice using essential tools to create more seamless designs. I often used lofts and fillets to achieve the smoother look. Reflecting on these earlier creations I have realized how much my skills have grown.
